We had a wonderful visit with this family on Friday.  Elder Wixom, our new District Leader as of last Tuesday is on the left,  Elder Pineda has been transferred to a calling to work in the mission office for now.  It was so great to get to know him in the short time we were here with him.  Sister Doris who is the grandma lives here with I don't know how many children and grandchildren.  They kind of combine families and make tough situations the best they can.  Three of the four kids there, the two boys and the smaller girl are Doris's grandchildren. their dad is a baptized not active member but the three kids have never been baptized.  The smaller girl is not yet eight but we have great potential of teaching the two boys and hopefully getting them baptized.  Here in Honduras, and perhaps throughout the world, I am not sure, but the rule is that for children under 18 years of age they need permission from both their mom and their dad.  Since their dad is already a member he is agreeable to letting them be taught, but they live with their mom who is not a member.  So our challenge to them at the end of our visit was to ask for their moms permission to receive the missionary lessons about the church.  The younger boy is very enthusiastic about receiving the lessons the older one doesn't say much.  The older one is David and the younger one is Aaron, and the little girl is Tatiana.   So as we were finishing up Aaron kept looking at our missionary name tags and said, "I want one of those when I get bigger that says Elder Aaron!"  I thought that was awesome!  I hope someday he gets one.  We are going back this next week to see what they find out.  I hope we can help them to progress to become members of the Lord's church and that way can learn a great way to live their lives following the teachings of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  Which really is the best way to get through this life.
We watched sacrament meeting in Lyman today on Zoom.  It was Dean and Peggy's meeting after completing their mission to Nebraska Winter Quarters mission.  From their comments I think they really loved their experience and loved being there in that area.
A few weeks ago I posted a picture of a family that got baptized here, last Sunday three of the boys were sustained and ordained the priesthood and today two of the boys passed the sacrament in sacrament meeting.  They all have new white shirts and ties and look so amazing.  They live in extremely poor circumstances but they all looked so nice today at church fulfilling their priesthood responsibilities.

We went out to the beach the other day and shared the beauty with a few horses.  The older ones were tethered to a tree while the younger ones were free to roam.  Honduras style beach scenery 😃

We also saw this persons delima,  I think that is the nicest american style truck I have seen ever here and that is the first Boat like that I have seen here.

We also were able to have a video call with Dr. Elder Chappell and Julie this week, they are in Lima Peru on a 2 year medical mission and it was really great to visit with them for a while and share experiences.  They have been out nearly one year and have had some really great experiences that they shared with us.

We went in to San Pedro Sula on Thursday and had lunch with President and Hermana Ostler.  It really was a good day.  We had to pick up some supplies there and it was good to spend time with them.  We stopped by a ward building on the way and they were taking out all the stacking chairs and taking them to another Stake Center where Elder Renlund was going to be visiting this weekend.  They had youth gatherings on Friday and then Leadership meetings on Saturday.  They did not have any missionary meetings so we were disappointed about that but oh well.  For those that attended they said it was a wonderful opportunity for them to be taught by an Apostle of the Lord.  There were a quite a few from this area that went and they said that is was packed but wonderful.
