I am so thankful for this special time of year when we can pause and focus on our Savior Jesus Christ.
I especially like that this year Christmas is on Sunday. That helps even more to focus my thoughts on the life of Jesus, and especially His humble birth. I am so thankful for the knowledge and testimony that I have that He is our Savior and Redeemer. That He came to earth in the most humble of circumstances and served the most humble and lowly on earth. Yet He is the Creator and the Light of the world, worlds without end... I cannot even conceive of His Greatness and Majesty, yet He invites us all to, "Come, Follow Me", allowing us to join Him in His quest to bring all unto Christ and to share with all, the good news of His Gospel. I am so grateful for family, past, present, and future who have helped me in my journey throughout life. I am so thankful that God has been a part of that journey and that His hand has been there to guide and direct my paths.
In the First Presidency's Christmas Devotional, Dec 2, 2018, Elder Gary E. Stevenson said; "During this Christmas and throughout the year, our kind deeds and good works are the best indication of our love for the Savior written in our hearts." I love that statement because it reminds me of all the wonderful people who I have been surrounded by throughout my life. I have had so many wonderful family members and others who exemplify Christ by the way they live their everyday lives. I am so thankful for Colleen, for Todd and Chelsea, for Meggan and Janise, and our grandchildren, Jayden, Turner, Declan, Myaela, and Juliet. I am thankful the the Hand of God who guides us and allows us to learn and grow here. May we always see the hand of God in our lives, this Christmas season and always is my prayer.
